Scholarship Details
The Airtel Africa Foundation — the philanthropic arm of Airtel Africa plc, a major telecommunications and mobile money services provider across 14 African countries — created the Airtel Africa Tech Fellowship to support bright African students from underserved backgrounds who aspire to study STEM-related courses at the university level.
This initiative aligns with the Foundation’s goal of increasing the number of African youth with advanced tech skills and preparing the next generation of innovators from the continent. Through partnerships with selected universities, the Foundation will support highly qualified students who have secured admission into approved tech-focused undergraduate programs.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be new 100-level students at one of the participating universities
- Not be receiving any other scholarship, fellowship, or financial grant for the same purpose
- Demonstrate clear financial need
- Have at least 5 credits in one sitting, including English and Mathematics
- Possess their JAMB result, admission letter, school ID card, and WAEC certificate/result
- Have scored a minimum of 230 in their UTME
