The African Union Internship Program is a full-time professional engagement designed to provide qualified students and recent graduates from diverse academic disciplines with hands-on experience within the African Union. The program allows young Africans to gain valuable insight into the operations of a major continental body while strengthening their professional competencies and career prospects.

Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the African Union Internship Program, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in at least the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program OR
- Have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or an advanced/postgraduate (Master’s) qualification
- Be nationals of a Member State of the African Union
- Be fluent in at least one of the AU working languages:
- Arabic
- English
- French
- Portuguese
- Be no more than thirty-two (32) years old at the time of selection
- Possess high moral standards and integrity
- Have no record of serious criminal offences (excluding minor traffic violations)
- Note that prior work experience is not required

Note: The African Union will not cover travel, visa, accommodation, or living expenses of interns.
