Scholarship Details
The ADB–Japan Scholarship Program was established to provide qualified citizens of developing ADB member countries with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science, technology, and other development-related fields. The program targets professionals with demonstrated leadership potential who seek advanced education to contribute meaningfully to national and regional development.
Scholars are hosted at designated universities across Asia and the United States, where they receive high-quality academic training while becoming part of a global network of development-focused professionals. Applicants do not apply directly to ADB; instead, they apply to participating universities, which nominate selected candidates for the scholarship. Successful scholars are required to return to their home countries after graduation to support development efforts.
