Scholarship Details
The GSK Scholarship supports talented individuals who wish to pursue any of the full-time, one-year, London-based intensive MSc programs at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). The award aims to strengthen health systems and research capacity across Africa by providing high-quality training in global health.
Applicants must submit both their LSHTM program application and the scholarship application before the stated deadline, and all required documents must be uploaded through the LSHTM Admissions Portal for their application to be considered complete.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the London School of Hygiene GSK Scholarship, applicants must:
- be nationals of, and currently living in, a Sub-Saharan African country
- intend to return to Sub-Saharan Africa after completing their MSc program
- confirm financial need by completing and submitting the Scholarships Application Form
- meet LSHTM’s minimum English language requirements
- hold a first degree with at least a First-Class or Upper Second-Class equivalency
- hold an offer of admission for a 2026–27 London-based intensive MSc program at LSHTM

How to Apply
The application process involves two key steps. Applicants must complete both steps and meet all eligibility requirements to be considered for funding:
- Submit an application for a 2026–27 London-based MSc program following the instructions under the “How to Apply” tab on the specific MSc program page.
- In the “Funding Details” section of your MSc application, select the GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders.
- Upload a completed Scholarships Application Form as part of your MSc application. This is the only scholarship document required, as supporting documents such as transcripts, CV, and references should already have been provided during the program application.
