1 Million Teachers (1MT) has announced the launch of the Teacher Impact Challenge 2025 with cash prizes worth ₦1.75 million, ahead of its landmark “Let There Be Teachers Conference” in Lagos.
The challenge is designed to spotlight Nigeria’s most inspiring educators and reward teachers who are making a real difference in the classroom and beyond.

Program Details
1 Million Teachers (1MT), through its Director for Strategic Partnerships and Event Convener Seyi Anifowose, is calling on educators across Nigeria to share inspiring impact stories that highlight how they’ve positively influenced students’ lives.
The initiative builds up to the “Let There Be Teachers Conference”, scheduled for September 20, 2025, at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, and aims to celebrate and empower Nigerian educators.
- The grand prize of ₦1,000,000 will be awarded to the most compelling story with the highest online engagement.
- The second-place winner will receive ₦500,000, and the third-place winner will get ₦250,000.
The conference, which is endorsed by the Lagos State Government, aims to set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of teachers in history, with an expected attendance of 60,000 educators.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the 1MT Teacher Impact Challenge, applicants must:
- Be a teacher currently based in Nigeria
- Have a compelling impact story that demonstrates how they’ve inspired or changed students’ lives
- Be able to submit a short video sharing their story on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or X
Scholarship Benefits
Winners of the Teacher Impact Challenge will receive:

- ₦500,000 for the second-best story
