The Abiola Ajimobi Technical University (Tech-U), Ibadan, has achieved full accreditation for all six academic programmes presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC), marking a significant milestone in the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence.
In a statement issued by the university management, the successful accreditation exercise was described as a reaffirmation of Tech-U’s standing among Nigeria’s leading technical institutions and a demonstration of its commitment to delivering high-quality education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The six fully accredited programmes include Agricultural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, and Computer Science.
“This achievement reflects Tech-U’s dedication to uphold the highest academic standards and ensure that its curricula, facilities, and faculty surpass the benchmarks set by the NUC,” the university noted.
Expressing delight at the outcome, the management commended the dedication and hard work of the university’s staff and faculty. It also highlighted the institution’s strategic focus on innovation, research, and student-centred learning as central to the successful accreditation.
The Vice-Chancellor described the milestone as a validation of the university’s vision to deliver cutting-edge technical education and produce graduates equipped to meet the demands of the modern industry.
