Scholarship Details
The University of Cambridge Studentship is a PhD funding opportunity supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) through the Cambridge Doctoral Training Partnership (CAM-DTP). How to Apply
There are two main routes through which applicants can apply for the University of Cambridge Studentship:
Route 1: Supervisor-led Topics
- Visit the CAM-DTP Studentship Opportunities page and identify a research topic of interest.
- Contact the relevant supervisory team to discuss the topic and research proposal.
- Apply for a PhD at the lead supervisor’s institution with a research proposal related to the selected topic before the relevant application deadline.
- The supervisory team will nominate its preferred candidate to CAM-DTP in early February.
Route 2: Student-led
- Apply for a PhD at your preferred institution with your own research proposal.
- The relevant department will nominate its preferred candidates to CAM-DTP in early February.

- Anglia Ruskin University: November 15, 2026
- University of Bedfordshire: November 15, 2026
- University of Cambridge: December 8, 2026 or January 6, 2027, depending on the course.
