Scholarship Details
The Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarship aims to produce graduates with strong academic backgrounds, advanced research skills, and the expertise needed to excel in academia, industry, and the service sector.
Scholarship applications are submitted alongside applications for eligible Master’s and PhD programmes. Each academic semester, departments evaluate applicants based on their own selection criteria, which go beyond academic performance alone.
Departments may award up to three full scholarships or an equivalent combination of 100% and 50% scholarships.
International students are eligible for:
- 100% and 50% scholarships for PhD programmes.
- 50% scholarships for Master’s programmes.
Turkish citizens may apply for both 100% and 50% scholarships for Master’s and PhD programmes.
Students admitted as special or visiting students are not eligible for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (or equivalent) from an undergraduate degree programme; or
- Have a CGPA between 2.75 and 2.99/4.00 with a minimum ALES score of 65 (for Turkish citizens); or
- Hold a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00 (or equivalent) when applying for a PhD programme.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Full or partial tuition scholarship.
- Scholarship duration of:
- Four semesters for Master’s programmes.
- Ten semesters for PhD programmes.
- International students may receive:
- 100% or 50% scholarships for PhD programmes.
- 50% scholarships for Master’s programmes.
