Scholarship Details
The DAAD SCO Scholarship supports outstanding students pursuing the Master of Business Research (MBR), a two-year postgraduate programme jointly offered by the Department of Management Science and Project Planning, University of Nairobi, in collaboration with Kuehne Logistics University (KLU), Hamburg, Germany.
The scholarship is funded through the Africa Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Operations for Resource Management and Food Supply (SCO) with financial support from DAAD. The programme brings together leading institutions, including the University of Nairobi, the University of Dar es Salaam, the University of Ghana, Kuehne Logistics University, and LEARN Logistics by Kühne Foundation, to develop highly skilled researchers in business, logistics, operations management, and supply chain management.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the DAAD SCO Scholarship 2027, applicants must:
- Hold a BSc/BA or MA/MBA/MSc degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Agribusiness Management, Economics, Operations Management, Management Science, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Have an outstanding academic record with at least a Second Class Upper Division or an equivalent GPA.
- Have secured admission into the Master of Business Research programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
- Have research experience in agribusiness, business, supply chains, operations management, or related fields (an added advantage).
- Possess basic analytical and research skills using relevant data analysis software.
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English language skills.
- Be a citizen of Kenya, Ghana, or Tanzania.
