  • Be from a country with a Gross National Income (GNI) per capita of US$20,000 or less
  • Submit a portfolio of three published or broadcast stories
  • Ensure the three stories were published or broadcast within the 12 months before August 9, 2026
  • Submit stories in print, audio, video, or multimedia format
  • Provide a summary of no more than 200 words for each story explaining its content and impact
  • Submit entries in English or provide English translations where necessary
  • Provide a verification letter
  • Ensure all submitted work is free from plagiarism
  • Explain any collaboration with external organizations or colleagues on the submitted stories
