The Georgetown University Global Human Development (GHD) Scholarship Program is a merit-based funding opportunity that supports outstanding international students pursuing a two-year Master’s degree in Global Human Development.

Through generous support from several donors, the program offers at least one full-tuition scholarship and multiple partial scholarships for students from Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as additional region-specific scholarships for applicants from the Philippines, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Georgetown University GHD Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Have completed introductory courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics with a minimum grade of B or its equivalent.
- Complete all prerequisite courses before enrolling in the program.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
- Have 1–2 years of full-time work experience after completing an undergraduate degree (strongly recommended).
- Have experience living, studying, or working outside the United States (strongly recommended).
