Scholarship Details
The Marshall Scholarships are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and are designed to support talented young Americans in pursuing graduate studies in the United Kingdom.
Each year, up to 50 scholars are selected to undertake master’s or doctoral studies at any UK university in any academic discipline. The program seeks to strengthen the enduring relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom while fostering academic excellence and leadership development.

Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the USA Marshall Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be citizens of the United States of America at the time of application.
- Hold their first undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States by September 2027.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
- Have graduated from their first undergraduate institution after April 2024.
- Not have studied for, or obtained, a degree or degree-equivalent qualification from a British university.
- Not have completed GCSEs or A-Levels while attending school in the United Kingdom.

Successful applicants of the USA Marshall Scholarships will receive:

- £1,452 per month for scholars studying outside London.
- £1,781 per month for scholars studying in London.
