Scholarship Details
The LONG Empowerment Foundation is inviting applications from eligible Nigerian students for the 2026 University Education Scholarship under its LONG Scholars Program.
The scholarship initiative is targeted at students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who have gained admission into accredited Nigerian universities or are currently enrolled in Bachelor’s degree programmes.
The programme aims to reduce the financial burden on students from low-income households while encouraging academic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement among beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the LONG Empowerment Foundation Scholars Program, applicants must:
- Be between 16 and 26 years old
- Have secured admission into a Nigerian tertiary institution or be a continuing undergraduate student
- Meet the following academic requirements:
- Continuing students must possess a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or its equivalent
- New students must provide:
- Signed admission and acceptance letter
- WAEC result with at least 5 credits
- JAMB result with a minimum score of 200
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and involvement in community activities
- Provide proof of financial need
- Come from a household with annual income below ₦3,000,000
- Provide supporting financial evidence such as parent’s bank statements or recommendation from school bursar
Applicants must also submit academic records and a reference letter.
