The Malta Government ENDEAVOUR Scholarships Scheme is designed to support high-quality tertiary education at MQF Level 7 and MQF Level 8. The programme aims to ensure that Malta’s labour market is equipped with highly skilled individuals capable of contributing effectively to the country’s economy and international competitiveness.
The scholarship scheme supports students pursuing advanced academic and research qualifications while encouraging innovation, development, and research activities within Malta. It is also focused on addressing skills shortages in priority sectors and strengthening expertise in science, technology, and other strategic industries.
The key objectives of the ENDEAVOUR II Scholarships Scheme include supporting academic research, reducing skills gaps in priority sectors, encouraging research and innovation, and increasing Malta’s overall research and development capacity.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Malta Government Endeavor Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be Maltese citizens or international students
- Be applying for Master’s or PhD studies at MQF Level 7 or MQF Level 8
Important Note:
- Applicants who already possess a Master’s degree are eligible to apply only for a PhD programme
- Applicants cannot apply for another Master’s degree or lower-level postgraduate qualification if they already hold a Master’s degree
- Candidates already enrolled in a PhD programme or equivalent level are not eligible for the scholarship
