Scholarship Details
The Ashesi-ETH Master in Mechatronic Engineering Scholarship is a collaborative programme jointly offered by Ashesi University in Ghana and ETH Zurich in Switzerland since January 2022. The initiative was established to train highly skilled African engineers through a world-class educational experience that combines academic excellence with practical industry exposure.
Currently, dozens of students from different African countries are enrolled in the programme at Ashesi University. Courses are delivered in block sessions designed and taught collaboratively by lecturers from both Ashesi University and ETH Zurich.
The scholarship programme is built on a strong partnership involving Ashesi University, ETH Zurich, industry leaders, and supporting organizations. This collaboration is strengthened through regular academic exchanges, visits, and industry engagement opportunities aimed at preparing students for impactful engineering careers across Africa and beyond.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Ashesi-ETH Masters Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be African
- Have a BSc or MSc in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Process Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Have a minimum of Second Class Upper or equivalent
- Demonstrate proficiency in English
