The Wilson and Yinka Badejo Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to indigent students pursuing higher education in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Selected applicants will receive a cash award of ₦70,000 to support their academic journey and help ease the financial burden of completing their degree programs.

Scholarship Details
The Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Educational Assistance Programme was established to support brilliant students from low-income backgrounds who are determined to complete their tertiary education despite financial challenges.
Since the launch of the scholarship programme in 2008, the foundation has awarded over 500 scholarships to deserving students across Nigeria. The initiative focuses on empowering academically outstanding students enrolled in public tertiary institutions while promoting equal access to education for indigent youths.
The scholarship is open to students currently studying in accredited public tertiary institutions as well as students who have recently gained admission. Applicants are expected to satisfy all eligibility conditions before their applications can be considered by the scholarship board of the foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Demonstrate financial need through a short personal statement about their background
- Possess strong academic performance
- Show evidence of good character and personal excellence
- Be enrolled in or admitted into an accredited public tertiary institution in Nigeria
- Note that students attending private tertiary institutions are not eligible
- Not have received the scholarship more than twice previously
- Applicants may apply for both the Legacy and Nurturing Hearts scholarships, but only one award can be received if selected
