Scholarship Details
The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE) has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026/2027 scholarship programme for foreign students. Through this initiative, the Romanian Government will award 40 scholarships to qualified international applicants interested in pursuing undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in Romania.
Studying in Romania offers students access to quality education, affordable living conditions, and opportunities for academic and personal growth in a culturally rich environment. International students may also benefit from employment opportunities during and after their studies, a secure learning atmosphere, and the possibility of acquiring Romanian citizenship in the future.
The scholarship programme also provides support for students who need to undertake a preparatory Romanian language course before beginning their academic studies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Romanian Government ARICE Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be foreign students, preferably from outside the EU and EFTA regions
- Possess the necessary qualifications for Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD studies
- Be eligible to participate in a preparatory Romanian language course if they do not understand Romanian
