Program Details
The Global Peace Photo Award 2026 is designed to showcase the positive side of humanity through powerful imagery. It recognizes photographs that portray peacebuilding efforts, community solidarity, happiness, environmental protection, medical advancements, and support for vulnerable populations such as refugees.
Entries are evaluated based on artistic quality, originality, and alignment with the theme of peace. Winners will receive global recognition, and their work may be featured in international exhibitions. The top photographers will also be invited to attend the award ceremony in Vienna, where they will be honored for their contributions to visual storytelling and peace advocacy.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, applicants must:
- Applicants under 15 years must apply for the Children’s Peace Image of the Year category
- Applicants 15 years and above should apply for the main competition
- Ensure Story category images are not older than three years
- Provide a caption in English (up to 2000 characters) for each submission
- Submit images in .jpg format with at least 3000 pixels on the longer side
- Ensure images do not contain watermarks, logos, names, or borders
Submission Guidelines
Applicants can submit:
- Up to 99 images in the Single Image category
- 5 to 12 images in the Story category (based on a single theme)
- Multiple entries in the Children’s category (single images or stories)
