The UN Women Internship Programme provides a unique opportunity for young professionals to gain hands-on experience within a leading international organization. Interns will work under the supervision of experienced professionals, contributing to projects that support women’s rights, leadership, economic empowerment, and protection from violence.
The program is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of global development practices while building relevant professional skills. Depending on the role, internships may be on-site, remote, or hybrid, offering flexibility and global exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a Master’s, post-master’s, or doctoral program, or
- Be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or
- Have recently graduated and be able to start within two years of graduation, or
- Be enrolled in a national service obligation program, or
- Be part of a professional traineeship program requiring internship experience
