Dangote Cement Plc has officially opened applications for the 2026 HEMM Operators Training Programme, an initiative designed to build a strong pool of competent and safety-conscious operators for mining operations.
The HEMM Operators Training Programme focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge, technical skills, and operational competence required to handle Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) in mining environments. The program aims to develop highly skilled operators who can support efficient and safe mining operations across Dangote Cement facilities.
Participants will undergo a structured training process that combines behavioural assessments, safety orientation, classroom learning, simulations, workshops, and intensive field practice. Through this comprehensive approach, trainees will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience required for the safe operation of heavy-duty mining equipment.
The program is strategically designed to prepare successful candidates for potential engagement as Dangote Cement certified HEMM Operators, depending on operational needs and available vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Dangote Cement HEMM Operators Training Programme, applicants must:
- Be a Secondary School graduate with a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics (WAEC/NECO)
- Or be a Technical College graduate with National Technical Certificate (NTC), NABTEB, or Trade Test I, II, or III
- Be between 22 and 35 years old
- Possess a valid means of identification
- Demonstrate good physical and mental fitness
- Have strong safety awareness and discipline
- Show willingness to undergo intensive training and assessments
Note:
- Previous experience in mining or equipment operation is an added advantage but not mandatory.
