Scholarship Details
The Oklahoma State University Scholarship 2026 is offered through the Environmental Science Graduate Program at Oklahoma State University, which is currently seeking two motivated Master’s (M.S.) students to participate in an interdisciplinary watershed conservation project located in the Neosho River Watershed in northeastern Oklahoma.
This research project combines multiple scientific disciplines including ecology, rangeland science, watershed hydrology, and nature-based conservation strategies to support environmental planning and sustainable management in the region. The study area includes important natural ecosystems such as tallgrass prairie landscapes as well as the Tar Creek Superfund Site, one of the most historically significant mining-impacted regions in the United States.
Students selected for the programme will contribute to conservation planning efforts by conducting field assessments, environmental analysis, and research that supports watershed protection and ecosystem restoration. The selected candidates will work under the academic supervision of Dr. Scott Stoodley and Dr. Jaime Schussler within the Environmental Science Graduate Program at Oklahoma State University.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Oklahoma State University Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in one of the following or related fields:
- Environmental Science
- Ecology
- Rangeland Ecology
- Hydrology
- Geography
- Environmental Engineering
- Or a closely related discipline
- Admission into the Oklahoma State University Environmental Science M.S. program
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and conduct field-based environmental assessments
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GIS software, such as:
- ArcGIS
- QGIS
- Experience with watershed analysis, ecological assessments, or hydrologic modeling
- Experience analyzing environmental data
