Scholarship Details
The African Liberty Writing Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to train young Africans who are interested in careers that involve critical and analytical writing, particularly opinion article writing.
The program targets individuals pursuing careers in academia, media, public policy, and other writing-related professions, providing them with the skills and mentorship required to succeed in these fields.
Selected applicants will first participate in a mandatory five-week online training program. At the end of this training, the top-performing participants will be selected and admitted into the African Liberty Writing Fellowship, where they will continue their development through mentorship, publishing opportunities, and media exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the African Liberty Writing Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in an African institution of higher learning, or
- Have graduated from an African institution of higher learning
- Be an African studying in a higher education institution outside the continent
