The Oando and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited National JV Scholarship provides an annual grant of ₦200,000 to support eligible undergraduate students throughout the duration of their academic program.
Selected beneficiaries will receive funding from the time of selection until their final year of study in their current universities.

Scholarship Details
The NNPC E&P Limited in partnership with Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited is inviting suitably qualified students to apply for the 2026/27 NEPL/OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship Scheme as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
The scholarship aims to support deserving Nigerian undergraduates by providing financial assistance that will help them focus on their studies and complete their university education successfully.
The scholarship scheme includes two major award categories designed to ensure that both students from host communities and those from other parts of Nigeria can benefit from the program.
Category of Awards
- Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from OANDO Host or Transit Communities
- National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host or Transit Communities
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NEPL/OANDO JV Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be registered full-time undergraduate students in Nigerian tertiary institutions
- Be certified 100-level students at the time of application (only students admitted in the 2024/2025 academic session)
- Be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship from companies operating in the Oil and Gas industry, either nationally or internationally
Important Notes
The following categories of students should not apply:
- Current beneficiaries of similar scholarships from other companies or agencies
- Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA employees
For the Host Communities Merit Award:
- Only indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States should apply.
For the National Merit Award:
- Only students studying the following courses are eligible:
- Engineering
- Geology
- Geosciences
- Agricultural Science
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the NNPC/OANDO Scholarship will receive:

Required Documents
Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph with white background (not older than 3 months, 450px by 450px, maximum 200kb)
- School ID Card
- O’level Certificate
- Admission Letter
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
- Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Host Communities Merit Award applicants only)
- Letter from CDC Chairman (Host Communities Merit Award applicants only)
- JAMB Result
Applicants should also ensure:
- Documents are properly named according to what they represent
- All required documents are uploaded correctly
- Valid email and phone contact are provided for communication
All applicants are required to fill and sign the NAOC Compliance Declaration Form before submission.
