A funded M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship will commence in August 2026, supporting research focused on Texas crayfish ecology and conservation.
The selected candidate will concentrate on population monitoring and the mark–recapture component of two Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN) crayfish species.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Intensive field sampling
- Tagging and recapture operations
- Demographic data analysis
- Evaluating environmental factors influencing population dynamics
- Frequent field travel across South Texas
- Extensive quantitative data analysis
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Texas A&M University Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:
