The Master Mind Scholarship is a fully funded Master’s degree opportunity sponsored by the Flemish Government for international students who wish to pursue their studies in Flanders, Belgium. Selected scholars benefit from a tuition fee waiver and are only required to pay a small administrative enrolment fee.
The €10,225 annual grant is paid in instalments and is intended to cover accommodation, insurance, and a significant portion of living expenses. The scholarship duration depends on the selected programme: one academic year for a 60 ECTS Master’s programme and two academic years for a 120 ECTS Master’s programme.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Master Mind Scholarship, applicants must:
- Apply for a Master’s degree programme at a recognized higher education institution in Flanders (Flemish host institution).
- Demonstrate strong academic excellence and/or high academic potential.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0.
- Show proficiency in the English language (specific requirements are determined by the host institution).
- Secure admission from the host institution (acceptance may be finalized after scholarship selection, but admission remains mandatory).
- Be nominated by only one Flemish higher education institution.
- Choose one institution if preselected by multiple institutions before submission through the Mobility-Online tool.
- Be of any nationality except Russian.
- Hold a previous degree from an institution located outside Flanders.
- Not be currently enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution.

- STEP 4: The host institution initiates your scholarship application by creating your file in the Mobility-Online tool.
- STEP 5: You will receive an automated email from the Mobility-Online system informing you of your preselection.
- STEP 6: Register in the Mobility-Online tool and complete your application before the stated deadline. Upload all required documents.
- STEP 7: The host institution validates and submits your completed application file through the Mobility-Online system.
