Program Details
The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program 2026 is a three-month hybrid accelerator program tailored for growth-stage technology startups across Africa.
The initiative is structured to support startups in scaling their impact by connecting them with Google’s global network, cutting-edge tools, and technical expertise.
Each selected cohort consists of 10–15 startups, who participate in a combination of:
- Remote learning sessions
- In-person engagements
- One-on-one mentorship meetings
- Group learning workshops
- Sprint-based technical projects
Throughout the program, startups work on solving key technical challenges that can accelerate business growth and strengthen their technology infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, startups must:
- Demonstrate traction, ideally as growth-stage startups.
- Be building a scalable product or service with:
- A significant total addressable market
- A defensible and sustainable growth model
- Be deeply technical in nature, preferably leveraging:
- Machine learning
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Other advanced technologies
- Have commitment from the CTO and/or technical leadership team to actively participate in and engage with required program sessions.
Google encourages applications from all qualified startups and is committed to building diverse and high-impact accelerator cohorts.
