Scholarship Details
The University of Arkansas Monticello Scholarship is a fully funded Graduate Research Assistantship focused on Forest Resources with specialization in Wildlife Management.
The research projects are coordinated by the Snowden Waterfowl Center of Excellence, located within the College of Forestry, Agriculture & Natural Resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello in southeastern Arkansas.
Successful candidates will receive office space, computer resources, and the opportunity to collaborate with faculty members, research staff, and fellow graduate students. The program is designed to provide advanced research training and professional development in wildlife and environmental resource management.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Arkansas Monticello Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Have a minimum 2.7 overall undergraduate GPA or 3.0 GPA in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate coursework.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in one of the following or related fields:
- Geospatial Sciences
- Geography
- Wildlife Management or Conservation
- Zoology
- Related discipline
- Have experience in GIS, remote sensing, data science, landscape ecology, or waterfowl research (preferred).
- Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
- Be willing to undertake overnight travel, participate in fall and winter fieldwork, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
