Scholarship Details
The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a flagship Indonesian Government initiative aimed at enhancing global cooperation through education. The programme offers international students the opportunity to enroll in high-quality degree programmes at 47 partner universities across Indonesia.
For the 2026 academic year, a total of 222 scholarships will be awarded, comprising 30 Bachelor’s, 162 Master’s, and 30 Doctoral slots. Scholars will first undergo an intensive Indonesian language (BIPA) course before commencing their academic programmes. The scholarship covers a wide range of disciplines, enabling participants to acquire academic knowledge, research skills, and cross-cultural competence while contributing to development in their home countries.

Program Duration
- Indonesian Language Course (BIPA): 1 year

Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the KNB Scholarship Program, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a developing country
- Be 21 years or younger for Bachelor’s applicants
- Be 35 years or younger for Master’s applicants
- Be 40 years or younger for Doctoral applicants
- Not already hold a degree at the level being applied for
- Provide a valid English proficiency test result obtained within the last two years (for non-English-speaking countries)
- Submit an official university letter if exempted from English test requirements
- Possess all required documents as stated in the application guidelines
- Submit all documents in English or Bahasa Indonesia
