Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the King Abdulaziz University Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Criteria for Undergraduate Program
- Be of good conduct and behavior
- Fully comply with King Abdulaziz University rules and regulations
- Be medically fit
- Possess a valid secondary school certificate or its equivalent from within or outside Saudi Arabia
- Commit to full-time study for regular morning programs
- Ensure the secondary school certificate is not older than three (3) years
- Be between 17 and 25 years of age
- Must not have been dismissed from any university
- Must not be currently receiving a scholarship from any Saudi university
- Female applicants must be accompanied by a legal male guardian who resides in Saudi Arabia
- Meet all departmental admission requirements
Criteria for Master’s and PhD Programs
- Master’s applicants must not be older than 30 years
- PhD applicants must not be older than 35 years
- Possess an excellent academic record in previous studies
- Meet English language proficiency requirements as follows:
- TOEFL (PBT): 500
- TOEFL (CBT): 173
- IELTS: 5.0
- Submit two recommendation letters from previous academic supervisors
- Must not have been dismissed from any Saudi institution
- Applicants for Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Sociology, Psychology, and Information Science must demonstrate strong proficiency in Arabic
