Eligibility Criteria

- Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at the University of Glasgow for the 2026/27 academic session
- Have submitted a claim for asylum in the UK, or
- Be actively appealing a negative asylum decision, or
- Have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP), or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the UK Home Office as a result of an asylum claim
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarship 2026 will receive:
- Full tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of study (for students not eligible for mainstream student finance)
- £5,000 per year to support study and living-related expenses
