Scholarship Details
The University of Leeds Ferguson Scholarship is a one-year fully funded award designed for applicants from developing countries who intend to pursue a full-time taught Master’s degree in selected academic schools at the University of Leeds. The scholarship is targeted at programmes that contribute directly to the economic, social, or technological development of the applicant’s home country, with the exception of the Leeds MBA.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a developing country
- Be willing to undertake a one-year full-time taught Master’s programme in a selected School at the University of Leeds
- Choose a course related to the economic, social, or technological development of their home country
- Hold, or expect to hold by September 2026, a First Degree equivalent to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours (2:1)
- Have completed their undergraduate degree or be in their final year of study
- Meet the University of Leeds English Language requirements by February 2, 2026 (where applicable)
- Not have previously studied for one year or more in a developed country
- Demonstrate inability to self-fund or receive sufficient family support to study in the UK
- Be liable to pay tuition fees at the international student rate
