Applications have officially commenced for the 2026 Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Program, a foundation-level technical training initiative approved by City & Guilds. The program is structured to prepare young Nigerians for entry-level technical roles in the Oil and Gas industry by providing in-depth theoretical knowledge combined with extensive practical exposure.
The Applied Technology Training Program was originally established in 1995 by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) and is now operated by Seplat Energy Producing Nigeria Unlimited (SEPNU), following its transition. SEPNU currently operates a Joint Venture with the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL). The program reflects Seplat Energy’s long-standing commitment to human capital development and technical excellence within Nigeria’s energy sector.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Program 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen
- Must possess a National Diploma (ND) in one of the following disciplines:
- Chemical Engineering Technology
- Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Petroleum Engineering Technology
- Must have graduated with a minimum of Upper Credit, obtained not earlier than 2023
- Applicants with higher qualifications will not be considered
- Must possess a valid government-issued identification, such as:
- Voter’s Card
- National ID Card
- Valid Driver’s License
- International Passport
Program Benefits
Successful applicants of the Seplat Energy Applied Technology Training Program will receive:
- Intensive Oil and Gas technical training for approximately 23 months
- Training hosted at the SEPNU Technical Training Centre (TTC), Eket
- Hands-on learning experience under seasoned industry professionals
- SEPNU Certificate of Completion upon successful graduation
- City & Guilds Certificate in Applied Engineering Technology (discipline-specific)
