The scholarship is funded by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, a political foundation rooted in Christian democratic values, with a long-standing commitment to promoting democracy, human rights, and the rule of law both in Europe and globally.
Through this scholarship program, selected candidates are given the opportunity to pursue higher education in Germany while benefiting from academic mentoring, networking opportunities, and participation in seminars organized by the foundation. Scholars are expected not only to excel academically but also to actively contribute to societal development and civic engagement. Upon completion of their studies, beneficiaries are encouraged to apply their knowledge and skills toward strengthening relations between their home countries and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Germany Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Have completed a university degree (the foundation does not support first bachelor’s degree programs)
- Demonstrate above-average academic performance
- Possess good knowledge of the German language (minimum of B2 level)
- Show active involvement in voluntary work or social engagement
- Plan to study for a minimum of four semesters at a university in Germany
- Have a broad general education with a strong interest in political and social issues
- Display a positive attitude toward democracy and human rights
- Be open-minded, tolerant, and willing to develop personal viewpoints

Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the KAS Germany Scholarship 2026 will receive the following benefits:
- For Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Postgraduate Programs:
- Monthly stipend of up to €992
- Funding duration of up to two years
- For Doctoral (PhD) Programs:
- Monthly stipend of up to €1,400
- Funding duration of up to three years
- Additional Benefits (upon request):
- Health insurance subsidy of up to €120 per month
- Family allowance of €276 if a spouse lives in Germany for more than three months
- Child allowance of €250 per child with valid documentation
- Research travel grants abroad (excluding conference attendance)
- Partial reimbursement of tuition fees up to €750 per semester in exceptional cases
