Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Hiroshima University Global Doctoral Fellowship 2026, applicants must:
- Be international students enrolling in a doctoral course or 4-year doctoral program at Hiroshima University in April 2026
- Obtain prior approval from a prospective academic advisor before applying
- Not earn more than 2.4 million JPY between January and December 2026
- Not be receiving any of the following:
- Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (JSPS)
- Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship
- Employment as a Research Assistant (RA) under the FOREST program
- Scholarships from their home country
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants selected for the Hiroshima University Global Doctoral Fellowship will receive:
