Scholarship Details
The E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarship 2026 is open to African students (non-Egyptians) seeking to obtain a Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering or Basic and Applied Sciences. The scholarship is part of the “E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships for STI,” established to nurture skilled professionals who will contribute to scientific and technological advancement across Africa and beyond.
This scholarship is jointly provided through the cooperation of the Egyptian Government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). It supports applicants wishing to pursue postgraduate studies beginning in the Fall 2026 semester across disciplines such as Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Basic and Applied Sciences, International Business and Humanities, and Heritage Science programs.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a researcher or instructor (or a strong potential candidate to become one) seeking to obtain an M.Sc. degree
- Submit a financial declaration, explaining personal financial status and reasons for scholarship need
- Be a national of an African country other than Egypt
- Have both home and current residential addresses within the African continent
- Not be currently serving in the military
- Meet E-JUST admission requirements and successfully pass the interview and oral examination
Faculty of Engineering (FOE) Requirements:
- M.Sc. Applicants:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0, or Very Good, or Second Class Upper (or equivalent)
- PhD Applicants:
- Must hold a thesis-based M.Sc. degree in Engineering related to the proposed research topic
- Must have an outstanding academic record in the relevant undergraduate discipline
Basic and Applied Sciences (BAS) Requirements:
- M.Sc. Applicants:
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science in a related field
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0, or Very Good, or Second Class Upper (or equivalent)
- PhD Applicants:
- Must hold a thesis-based M.Sc. degree in Science related to the proposed research topic
- Must demonstrate strong academic performance in the relevant undergraduate specialization
