The President Tinubu Engineering Mentorship Program 2025 is a national capacity-development initiative launched by the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen Nigeria’s engineering workforce and support the country’s infrastructure and economic growth agenda. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical field experience by immersing participants in ongoing government engineering projects across the country.

The mentorship scheme is structured into two categories—one for graduate engineers and another for skilled artisans—to ensure inclusive participation and targeted skills development. Participants will receive structured on-site training, mentorship from experienced professionals, and exposure to real construction projects, particularly in road construction, bridge development, and inter-state connectivity projects.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the President Tinubu Engineering Mentorship Program 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Category 1: Graduate Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)

  • Be a Nigerian citizen aged 18–35 years
  • Possess a Degree or HND in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution
  • Be currently unemployed and not in full-time government service
  • Have completed NYSC or possess an exemption/exclusion certificate
  • Be willing to work in local government areas where Ministry projects are ongoing
  • Have basic computer literacy (engineering software knowledge is an added advantage)

Category 2: Skilled Artisans (e.g., Mason, Carpenter, Technician)

  • Be a Nigerian citizen aged 18–49 years
  • Possess vocational training, trade test certificates, or proven practical experience
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Be physically fit for construction and fieldwork
  • Be willing to undergo additional training and project attachment
