Scholarship Details
The University of Cambridge FIBE3 Studentship is a doctoral funding opportunity supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) through the FIBE3 Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT). The studentship is offered for a number of 1+3 MRes/PhD positions and is delivered in collaboration with industry partners to support advanced research in engineering and related disciplines.
This studentship is designed to equip researchers with interdisciplinary knowledge and industry-relevant skills while providing access to world-class research facilities at the University of Cambridge. Successful candidates will commence their studies on 1 October each year, with options available for both full-time and part-time enrolment. Award holders are expected to complete their MRes and PhD within the duration specified by the studentship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the University of Cambridge FIBE3 Studentship, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university
- Have, or expect to obtain before the start date, a minimum of a high Second Class Upper (2.1) degree, preferably at Master’s level, in a relevant engineering or science discipline
- Possess a strong academic background in concrete works
- Meet the admission requirements for an MRes/PhD programme at the University of Cambridge
- Satisfy the University’s English Language requirements
