The Department of Chemistry at the University of Rochester invites motivated international students to participate in the 2026 Summer Research Program. This initiative is designed to give high-achieving undergraduate and master’s students from around the world the chance to carry out first-class research in a well-equipped academic environment.
The program focuses on supporting exceptional students who plan to pursue a chemistry PhD in the future. Participants work directly with faculty members in the Chemistry Department, gaining hands-on research experience while being fully integrated into the university’s scientific community. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Not be a US citizen or current resident
- Currently studying outside the United States
- Not pursuing or currently enrolled in a PhD program
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program in chemistry or related fields such as:

- Biology
- Engineering

- Have plans to pursue a PhD in chemistry
