UNDP Internship Details

The UNDP Information and Technology Management (ITM) Unit in Copenhagen supports UNDP offices globally with innovative ICT and green energy solutions. As part of this effort, the UNDP is recruiting People Development Interns with knowledge or experience in any of the following fields: Onboarding and People Management, Leadership Development, Career Development, Capability Development, Data and Knowledge Management, Evaluation, or Communications.

UNDP operates in over 170 countries with more than 17,000 personnel, tackling global issues such as poverty eradication, climate change, crisis recovery, renewable energy, governance, and gender equality.

A total of 10 internship positions are available within this workstream, offering participants the chance to contribute to real development solutions while gaining practical international work experience.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the UNDP Global Internship, candidates must meet at least one of the following academic conditions:

  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate program (second degree or higher).
  • Be enrolled in the final year of a first university degree (minimum Bachelor’s level).
  • Have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation.

Additional skills required:

  • Strong IT capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Streams, Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Knowledge of software design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Illustrator, InDesign (an added advantage).
  • Familiarity with online course-building tools including Articulate 360, Captivate, and HTML5.
  • Open to applicants from any country.

UNDP Internship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • The internship runs for 6 months, from February 2 to July 31, 2026.
  • Interns in Copenhagen receive a monthly stipend of approximately $1000.
  • Stipends are paid monthly, and part-time arrangements are prorated.
