Scholarship Details
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was introduced by the Hungarian Government in 2013 as part of the national initiative to deepen educational cooperation and expand academic partnerships globally. Every year, hundreds of international students receive the opportunity to study at the University of Pécs under this scheme.
The aim of the scholarship is to increase the number of international students in Hungarian universities, promote cultural exchange, and strengthen educational collaboration with various partner countries. The program is coordinated and managed by Tempus Public Foundation and currently has more than 90 participating partner nations.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the University of Pécs Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an international applicant
- Be applying to any approved undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program at the University of Pécs
- Meet the academic and admission requirements of their chosen program
- Submit a complete application before the deadline
- Be at least 18 years old by August 2026
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Tuition-Free Education: Full exemption from tuition fees
- Monthly Stipend:
- Undergraduate, Master’s, and One-Tier Programs: HUF 43,700 monthly support throughout the study period
- PhD Level: HUF 140,000 monthly support throughout the study duration
- Accommodation Support:
- University dormitory placement OR monthly housing allowance of HUF 40,000
- Healthcare Coverage:
- Full medical services as permitted under Hungarian law + supplementary medical insurance up to HUF 65,000 yearly
