The Kano State Ministry of Education has dismissed reports claiming that the state government is set to recruit 3,917 teachers under the “Kano State Government Basic Education Teachers Mapping and Recruitment Plan (2025–2028).”
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Alhaji Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the ministry described the announcement circulating on social media as misleading and baseless, urging members of the public to disregard it.
According to the statement, the ministry has not issued any official announcement regarding teacher recruitment and therefore warned the public against relying on unverified sources, especially on matters relating to employment and other sensitive issues.
The ministry explained that the clarification became necessary to prevent confusion and misinformation among the public, while advising citizens to always verify information through the ministry’s official communication channels.
