The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to dedicate 20 days to highlight the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within the territory.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike made this known on Tuesday during the inauguration of newly constructed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, Abuja.

According to him, the unveiling of projects executed under the current administration in the education sector will last for 20 days, beginning immediately after the president returns from a short break.

Mr Wike explained that the initiative aims to demonstrate that the Tinubu administration is not solely focused on road projects but is also committed to transforming the education sector.

Describing the ongoing inauguration of projects across the FCT as “unprecedented,” the minister credited the progress to President Tinubu’s dedication to completing abandoned projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“I challenge critics to name any previous administration that has matched the current pace of transformation under Tinubu’s leadership. If there is any administration since the creation of the Federal Capital Territory that has done more than what we are doing, let them speak up now,” he said.

Wike added that many of the projects being commissioned were abandoned since 2009 due to non-payment of contractors.

Also speaking, FCT Minister of State Mariya Mahmoud described the Wuye engineering infrastructure project as proof of the administration’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that uplifts communities and restores hope.

“With roads being dualised, long-abandoned sites completed, and new facilities springing up across satellite towns, Wike’s message is very clear the FCT is working again under purposeful and visionary leadership,” she stated.
