Scholarship Details

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals offers fully funded master’s study opportunities for one or two years at top Swedish universities. It aims to nurture forward-thinking leaders and innovators who are committed to shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and economically resilient future.

This program highlights Sweden’s commitment to sustainable development and leadership excellence, giving participants access to world-class education, industry expertise, and a global professional network. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen and resident of one of the eligible program countries:
    Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia.
    (Ukrainian applicants residing outside Ukraine are also eligible.)
  • Hold a leadership position such as CEO, senior executive, or manager in a medium to large company with strategic decision-making responsibilities.
  • Be at least 30 years old (born in 1994 or earlier).
  • Have strong English proficiency in both writing and speaking.
  • Possess a completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Be willing to share experiences and collaborate with other participants.
  • Identify a business challenge or sustainability issue to work on during the program that can help their organization make a positive global impact.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals will receive:

  • Full tuition coverage, paid directly by the Swedish Institute to the host university.
  • A monthly allowance of SEK 12,000 for living expenses throughout the study period.
  • A one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 (SEK 10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine).
  • Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP), providing mentorship and global networking opportunities.
  • Access to the SI Alumni Network after completing the program, enabling continued professional development and collaboration.

How to Apply

  • Apply for an eligible master’s program at any Swedish university.
  • Apply for the SI Scholarship by submitting the required documents:
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Motivation Letter
    • Two Recommendation Letters
    • Valid Passport or National ID Photocopy
    • Proof of Work and Leadership Experience
  • After submission, the Swedish Institute will screen applications and disqualify those that do not meet eligibility criteria.
  • Upon receiving the university admission results from University Admissions Sweden on March 26, 2026, SI will begin its final evaluation.
  • Successful applicants will be notified thereafter.
