The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has announced plans to convene a national town-hall meeting aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement within Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.
In a statement released on Monday, TETFund disclosed that the event will hold on Wednesday in Abuja and will be chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alhaji Aminu Masari.
According to the Fund, the town-hall meeting will serve as a platform for open dialogue between TETFund and key stakeholders in the education sector, while also highlighting the agency’s achievements and its impact on the nation’s tertiary institutions.
“This initiative underscores TETFund’s commitment to accountability and inclusiveness in carrying out its mandate. The town-hall meeting will serve as a vital avenue to bridge the gap between TETFund and the Nigerian public, ensuring that our interventions and activities are better understood and appreciated nationwide,” the statement said.
The Fund added that the meeting will feature two keynote presentations by leading education experts and will be attended by policymakers, academics, civil society representatives, students, and other members of the public.
TETFund also noted that interactive sessions will be held to enable participants to engage directly with the agency’s leadership and provide suggestions on ways to further strengthen the Fund’s operations and interventions.
