The Tomorrow Leaders Program (TLP) is a U.S. Department of State initiative aimed at supporting high-achieving students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds in the MENA region. It seeks to develop a new generation of leaders who demonstrate strong academic ability, leadership skills, and a commitment to social impact.

Participants will pursue their studies at leading U.S.-accredited universities in the region, including the American University of Beirut (AUB), the Lebanese American University (LAU), and the American University in Cairo (AUC). The program promotes diversity, civic engagement, and leadership development, creating a network of changemakers who will contribute to their communities and beyond.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Tomorrow Leaders Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of eligible Middle East and North African countries
  • Apply as high school seniors (graduating in 2025) for the undergraduate track, or as graduates for the Master’s track
  • Have an academic average of at least 80% or equivalent throughout their schooling
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and a record of civic or community involvement
  • Belong to socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, including those with refugee status
  • Meet the English language requirements (via assessment or standardized test scores where applicable)
