The Ruth Titilayo Foundation was established in memory of Ruth Titilayo (Iya Taiwo), born in 1952, who attended Abeokuta Girls Grammar School and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She was deeply passionate about education and dedicated her life to supporting the less privileged.
To honor her legacy, the Foundation is proud to introduce the Ruth Titilayo Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship. This grant is designed to ease the financial burden of higher education by covering tuition fees and living costs for eligible students, with the possibility of additional allowances for research and travel.

Scholarship Details
The postgraduate scholarship program supports Nigerian graduates who are pursuing advanced studies. The award is intended to assist with tuition fees, maintenance costs, and where applicable, research and fieldwork expenses. Depending on committee decisions, the grant may cover all expenses or provide partial but meaningful financial support.

Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the scholarship will enjoy:
- Tuition allowance up to ₦100,000
- Maintenance allowance up to ₦20,000
- Additional allowances (e.g., internal travel for research or fieldwork) at the discretion of the scholarship committee
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1)
- Possess a degree from a Nigerian institution (either undergraduate or postgraduate)
- Be a current student or have been enrolled within the last five years
Additional desirable criteria (not compulsory but advantageous):
- Enrolled in a Master’s program or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- Engaged in professional research or relevant work experience
Final-year undergraduates are NOT eligible for this grant.
