Scholarship Details
The CERN Administrative Student Program is a full-time training placement lasting between 2 and 12 months in Geneva, Switzerland. The program offers motivated Bachelor’s and Master’s students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a world-class international environment while working at the cutting edge of science and administration.
Fields available include translation, human resources, advanced secretarial work, business administration, logistics, law, finance, accounting, library and information science, education, audiovisual services, communication and public relations, psychology, audit, and science communication.
This program is designed to provide students with practical exposure, career growth, and international collaboration experience at one of the most prestigious research organizations in the world.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CERN Administrative Student Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Have completed at least 18 months of undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in an administrative-related field by the time of the student committee in February 2026
- Remain registered as a full-time student during the internship period
- Have a good command of English or French
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- An internship contract for 2–12 months
- A monthly allowance of CHF 3,452 (net of tax)
- Travel allowance to and from Geneva
- Financial support for dependents (if married and/or with children)
- Comprehensive health insurance
- 2.5 days of paid leave per month

- An updated CV
- A copy of the most recent academic transcript (unprotected PDF if downloaded online)
- At least one reference letter from a University Professor (an additional letter from a past internship may also be included)
