Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2026 DAAD AgEcon Scholarship, applicants must:

- Have at least 2 years of professional experience after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree
- Hold academic degrees that are not older than 6 years
- Provide proof of development-related motivation and intentions
- Not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months before the application deadline
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with above-average grades
- Submit official proof of English proficiency (IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90, or equivalent as per admission rules)
Note: Academic teaching and research roles are generally not accepted as valid work experience unless in exceptional circumstances.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the 2026 DAAD AgEcon Scholarship will receive:
- Full waiver of tuition fees for the Master’s program
- Monthly stipend of €992 for graduates or €1,300 (€1,400 starting February 2026) for doctoral candidates
- Health, accident, and personal liability insurance coverage
- Travel allowance to and from Germany
- Additional benefits such as:

- Monthly allowance for accompanying family members
