Scholarship Details
The AIMS Scholarship is an intensive postgraduate program aimed at cultivating mathematical and scientific talent across Africa. The curriculum focuses on building a solid foundation of core problem-solving skills in computation, estimation, approximation, modeling, data analysis, and statistics.
The program includes an elective review phase that allows students to apply their skills in exciting, real-world scientific fields. Successful candidates will be granted a full scholarship that covers tuition, accommodation, travel costs, medical care, and meals. There are no registration fees for selected students. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AIMS Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Hold, or expect to obtain before the program begins, a 4-year undergraduate degree in mathematics or a science/engineering field with a strong mathematical focus
- Demonstrate outstanding mathematical ability, along with proven leadership and community engagement
- Be strongly encouraged to apply if they are women, as AIMS prioritizes gender inclusion
