Scholarship Details

The School of Medicine at University College Dublin invites applications for an MSc studentship scheduled to commence in Autumn 2025. The studentship is ideal for individuals with a background in biological sciences, biochemistry, or related disciplines. The research will focus on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) — the most common form of kidney cancer. The objective of the project is to investigate whether targeting a cell stress pathway known as the unfolded protein response can effectively eliminate ccRCC cells.

Candidates will employ molecular and cellular biology techniques such as PCR, western blot, colony formation assays, and MTT assays to assess the effect of modulating the unfolded protein response in ccRCC.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the UCD School of Medicine Masters Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
